Refractory fiber, also known as ceramic fiber, is currently the refractory material with the lowest thermal conductivity and the best thermal insulation and energy saving effect in addition to nano-materials. It has many advantages, such as light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal insulation effect, convenient construction, etc. It is a high-quality industrial furnace lining material. Compared with traditional refractory bricks, refractory castables and other materials, ceramic fiber folding blocks have the following performance advantages:

a) Light weight (reducing furnace load and extending furnace life): refractory fiber is a kind of fibrous refractory material. The most commonly used refractory fiber blanket has a volume density of 96~128kg/m3, while the volume density of the refractory fiber module folded by the fiber blanket is between 200~240kg/m3, and the weight is 1/5~1/10 of the light refractory brick or amorphous material, and 1/15~1/20 of the heavy refractory material. It can be seen that refractory fiber furnace material can realize lightweight and high-efficiency heating furnace, reduce furnace load and extend furnace life.

b) Low heat capacity (less heat absorption and faster temperature rise): The heat capacity of the furnace material is generally proportional to the weight of the furnace lining. Low heat capacity means that the furnace absorbs less heat during reciprocating operation, and the heating speed is accelerated. The heat capacity of ceramic fiber is only 1/10 of that of light heat-resistant lining and light refractory brick, which greatly reduces the energy consumption in furnace temperature operation control. Especially for heating furnace with intermittent operation, it has very significant energy-saving effect

c) Low thermal conductivity (low heat loss): when the average temperature of ceramic fiber material is 200C, the thermal conductivity is less than 0. 06W/mk, less than 0 at 400 ° on average. 10W/mk, about 1/8 of the light heat-resistant amorphous material, and about 1/10 of the light brick, while the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber material and heavy fire-resistant material can be ignored. Therefore, the thermal insulation effect of refractory fiber materials is very significant.

d) Simple construction (no expansion joint is required): the construction personnel can take up the post after basic training, and the influence of construction technical factors on the thermal insulation effect of furnace lining

e) Wide range of application: With the development of production and application technology of refractory fiber, refractory ceramic fiber products have realized serialization and functionalization, and the product can meet the use requirements of different temperature grades from 600 ° C to 1400 ° C. From the aspect of morphology, it has gradually formed a variety of secondary processing or deep processing products from traditional ceramic fiber cotton, ceramic fiber blanket, fiber felt products to refractory fiber module, ceramic fiber board, ceramic fiber profiled products, ceramic fiber paper, fiber textiles and other forms. It can meet the needs of different industrial furnaces in various industries for refractory ceramic fiber products.

f) Thermal shock resistance: the fiber folding module has excellent resistance to severe temperature fluctuations. On the premise that the heated material can bear it, the fiber folding module furnace lining can be heated or cooled at any speed

o) Resistance to mechanical vibration (with flexibility and elasticity): the fiber blanket or fiber blanket is flexible and elastic, and is not easy to be damaged. The whole furnace after installation is not easy to be damaged when it is impacted or vibrated by road transportation

h) No oven drying: without oven drying procedures (such as curing, drying, baking, complex oven drying process and protective measures in cold weather), the furnace lining can be put into use after construction.

1) Good sound insulation performance (reduce noise pollution): ceramic fiber folding block can reduce high-frequency noise with frequency less than 1000 Hz. For sound waves with frequency less than 300 Hz, the sound insulation ability is superior to common sound insulation materials, and can significantly reduce noise pollution.

j) Strong automatic control ability: the high thermal sensitivity of ceramic fiber lining can better adapt to the automatic control of heating furnace.

k) Chemical stability: the chemical properties of ceramic fiber folding block are stable. Except phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and strong alkali, other acids, alkalis, water, oil and steam are not eroded.
